Today, we’re testing 5 rugged straps we bought on Amazon for our Apple Watch Ultra. We tried different styles including paracord bands, nylon bands, rugged plastic, and at the end we’ll show you a hybrid leather band with a rugged plastic underneath that’s super comfortable.
1. Spigen Rugged Band – $27 on Amazon
First up, looking at the Spigen Rugged Band. You can get it for $27 on Amazon, and it’s a matte black color with carbon fiber accents on either side.

It fits the Apple Watch Ultra really well, while being comfortable and lightweight. It’s perfect as a daily band and for working out. The buckle is stainless steel in matte black color, and we also really like the strap holder at the end has a notch that locks into the band so it doesn’t slide out.
2. SUNFWR Rugged Nylon Strap – $18 on Amazon
Next up, we found these rugged nylon straps by SUNFWR for $18 bucks, and these are perfect for those wanting a big rugged style to match the Apple Watch Ultra. They are made of nylon and have leather accents stitched on them.

You can get it in green, blue, grey and black. We got one in Green and another in Grey, and like the style of these. We don’t particularly love the SUNFWR branding on the leather, it’s kind of random… but we think over time the leather would darken and fade to make it not as noticeable.
But, the buckle on these straps is nice, with a triple buckle system that will fit any wrist, either small or large. If you use a smaller buckle, the rest of the strap will tuck away under the strap. And there’s a big velcro that’s nice a strong to keep it secure.
3. Nereides Nylon Band – $20 on Amazon
Another similar rugged Nylon strap are these by Nereides on Amazon for $20 bucks. You can get them in a bunch of different colors like Army Green, Black, Blue. We bought two of them, one in Orange and another in Grey Camo.
These bands have a large width, with a big velcro strap that’s super secure. The orange color is really eye-catching and matches the orange ring of the crown. Meanwhile the Grey Camo is a little more subtle and goes well with the gray of the Ultra. There’s some branding on it, but this one is more fitting so we don’t mind it.
4. NASA Nylon Strap – $23 on Amazon
And if you like NASA, there is another rugged Nylon strap on Amazon for $23 bucks. It only comes in black, and it’s a little bit more simplistic than the other ones. So, if you’re into space exploration, be sure to check that one out.

5. Paracord Band – $20 on Amazon
If you’re into Paracord Bracelet style bands, take a look at this one from CAGOS that you can get for $20 bucks. You can get it in either Army Green or in Black. We got the black one in Large, and it features all metal adapters and hardware. There’s a velcro strap in the middle for some adjustment, and this band is big and beefy.

But it feels high quality and super strong, and this band is beefy. We sort of wish we had gotten ours in Green instead of Black. So if you’re into military or survival style, this is definitely one you should check out.
6. Hybrid Leather Strap – $15 on Amazon
And finally, we have a hybrid leather and rubber strap from Amazon, making it more rugged– and it’s only $15 bucks and also a top seller. They have a ton of different color combos and options, from regular brown leather to different colors like white, yellow, or even Orange… making a nice match for the Ultra’s orange accents.
We got ours in Brown and Silver, since it has the silver hardware to match the Apple Watch Ultra. The band is a hybrid leather and rubber, so the top of it is a nice soft leather, while the bottom is a rubber that’s also super soft and comfortable. That means you can wear it all the time and not have to worry about sweating and getting it dirty. We really like this band and turning it into a daily wearer, and we think it will wear in nicely over time as well.
