In this review we’re taking a quick look at the Apple Watch Trail Loop which was released with the new 49mm Apple Watch Ultra. The compatibility of Apple Watch Ultra Bands means it fits with the Ultra and 42mm, 45mm Apple Watches as well.
This band retails for $100, and you might be wondering it’s worth the expensive price tag. It’s available in a few different colors such as Black/Grey, Blue/Grey and Yellow/Beige. We got ours in black and gray with the orange accent to match our Apple Watch Ultra.
At first glance, it basically looks like a nylon sports loop. But there’s a few details that are important to know about. First, the hardware on the adapters are a titanium finish which matches perfectly on the Apple Watch Ultra.
The nylon weaves are super soft and comfortable, and the pull tab is easy to pull to remove the band. And there’s some nice stretch in the band as well.
There’s also a little bump at the end of the tab, so when you take the band off, it prevents the strap from coming out of the adapter. So, you can feel confident you can stretch it over your wrist without it coming out of the adapter.
Overall, the band is nice. But is it worth $100 bucks? It’s a little bit expensive for what it is, so if you’re looking at buying the Apple Watch Ultra and trying to figure out which band to get, you might want to get an Alpine Loop or Ocean Band and consider getting a replica Trail Loop on Amazon for $20 or less. We compared the genuine Apple Watch Trail Loop to replica ones from Amazon and eBay that cost around $20 bucks to see how they compare.
